GCBT invites you to join us in Kingston for the Civic holiday weekend from Friday July 31, 2026 to August 3, 2026 for a weekend of fun and frivolity. You and your fellow cyclists will stay at Queen’s University in the student accommodation. Queen’s University is within easy walking distance to Kingston’s historic downtown, waterfront and local attractions. We have planned a weekend which includes accommodations, meals and routes to cycle each day. Arrangements may be made to arrive early, subject to availability.
There will be routes of three distances for each day, Saturday to Monday, and we will offer a shorter route for Friday keeners to stretch their legs after the drive. We expect the routes to be short (50K), medium (75K) and long (100k).
Accommodations
Our accommodations are 2 bedrooms with shared washroom. Each bedroom has a double bed, so can accommodate one or two people; so there will be two, three or four people sharing the bathroom. Linens are provided and there is a mini fridge and Wifi access in each room. Common rooms are located on each floor, equipped with a TV, fridge, microwave and stove; however cookware, tableware and utensils are not provided. Laundry facilities are available, which require HE detergent and can be paid for using the Coinamatic app. Parking is free from Friday at 5:00 p.m. until end of day Monday. If arriving early parking is arranged through the HONK mobile app at the cost of $3.60 per hour to a daily rate of $16.20.
We will have a welcome get together with pizza on Friday evening. Meals consist of breakfast and dinner for saturday and sunday, and breakfast only on monday, alcohol should be discrete.
If you would like to arrive before the 31st please make arrangements directly with the University. https://www.queensu.ca/eventservices/accommodations/summer
